Sunday evening, just one former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from June 6.
Sunday, June 6
- Jalen Brunson (Stevenson/Mavericks)- 10 minutes, 2 points, 1/3 FG, 2 offensive rebounds, 4 total rebounds, an assist, and -11 in a 126-111 loss to the Clippers
That’ll do it for Stevenson’s Brunson and the Dallas Mavericks for the season. Despite the Game 7 loss, the Mavericks have a lot to look forward to moving forward with young superstar Luke Doncic and even Sixth Man of the Year vote-better Brunson coming off the bench. Jalen Brunson saw career highs in several stat categories while coming off the bench for most the season.
