Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- June 9 NBA Playoffs Recap

Wednesday evening, three former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from June 9.

Wednesday, June 9

The three mentioned Illinois players found themselves some playing time late in the game due to it being a blowout win. Suns look strong after their 123-98 win which gives them a commanding 2-0 in the West Semifinals.

  • Frank Kaminsky (Benet/Suns)- 6 minutes, 5 points, 2/4 FG, 1/1 3PT, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and -6 in a 123-98 win over the Nuggets.
  • Jevon Carter (Proviso East/Suns)- 6 minutes, 2 points, 1/3 FG, 0/1 3PT, 2 assists, and -6 in a 123-98 win over the Nuggets.
  • JaVale McGee (Franciscan/Nuggets)- 7 minutes, 3 points, 1/3 FG, 0/1 3PT, a rebound, an assist, a team-high 2 blocks, and +0 in a 123-98 loss to the Suns.
