Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performance- October 19 Opening Night Recap

This past Tuesday the National Basketball Association, also known as the NBA, returned to action with two Opening Night games to kick off the season. Much like last season I will be doing daily blogs highlighting the performances from former Illinois prep athletes.

Tuesday evening, three former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from October 19.

Performance from that Day

  • Andre Iguodala (Lanphier/Warriors)- 23 minutes, 12 points, 4/7 Fg, 2/5 3PT, 2/2 FT, a rebound, 2 assists, a block, and +8 in a 121-114 win over the Lakers.
  • Anthony Davis (Perspectives/Perspectives)- 39 minutes, 33 points, 15/26 FG, 1/5 3PT, 2/7 FT, 2 offensive rebounds, 11 total rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, 2 blocks, and -2 plus-minus in a 121-114 loss to the Warriors.
  • Jevon Carter (Proviso East/Nets)- 19 minutes, 0 points, 0/3 FG, 0/2 3PT, 2 rebounds, a turnover, and -29 plus-minus in a 127-104 loss to the Bucks
