This past Tuesday the National Basketball Association, also known as the NBA, returned to action with two Opening Night games to kick off the season. Much like last season I will be doing daily blogs highlighting the performances from former Illinois prep athletes.
Tuesday evening, three former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from October 19.
Performance from that Day
- Andre Iguodala (Lanphier/Warriors)- 23 minutes, 12 points, 4/7 Fg, 2/5 3PT, 2/2 FT, a rebound, 2 assists, a block, and +8 in a 121-114 win over the Lakers.
- Anthony Davis (Perspectives/Perspectives)- 39 minutes, 33 points, 15/26 FG, 1/5 3PT, 2/7 FT, 2 offensive rebounds, 11 total rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, 2 blocks, and -2 plus-minus in a 121-114 loss to the Warriors.
- Jevon Carter (Proviso East/Nets)- 19 minutes, 0 points, 0/3 FG, 0/2 3PT, 2 rebounds, a turnover, and -29 plus-minus in a 127-104 loss to the Bucks
