Wednesday evening, three former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in various NBA games. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from December 22.
Best of the Day: Admiral Schofield
- Admiral Schofield (Zion-Benton Township/Orlando Magic)- 13 minutes, 8 points, 3/3 FG, 2/2 3PT, 0/1 FT, 2 rebounds, 2 turnovers, and -2 in a 104-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks.
The rest of the performances of the day:
- Isaiah Roby (Dixon/Oklahoma City Thunder)- 2 minutes, 0/1 FG, 2 rebounds, and +2 in a 108-94 win over the Denver Nuggets. This is the second fewest minutes he’s played all season. The fewest came on October 26 when he played just 2 minutes and 18 seconds (Tonight- 2:23).
- Richaun Holmes (Lockport/Sacramento Kings)- 17 minutes, 4 points, 2/3 FG, 2 offensive rebounds, 7 total rebounds, a block, 3 turnovers, and -15 in a 105-89 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Holmes had previously missed the last seven games due to an eye injury. Last game: December 8, 2021 vs. Orlando Magic.
Simeon’s Derrick Rose has missed the last two game due to an ankle injury and will now be out at least eight weeks as he recovers from surgery.
