Wednesday evening, ten former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in various NBA games. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from December 29.

Best of the Day: Malcolm Hill

Belleville East’s Malcolm Hill made his first NBA field goal on Wednesday while playing solid minutes off the bench as well as gave his Atlanta Hawks a fighting chance against a strong Chicago Bulls’ team.

  • Malcolm Hill (Belleville East/Atlanta Hawks)- 29 minutes, 13 points, 5/8 FG, 3/5 3PT, an offensive rebound, 3 total rebounds, an assist, a game-high 3 steals (tied with two others), a block, and +4 in a 131-117 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

  • Ayo Dosunmu (Morgan Park/Chicago Bulls)- 20 minutes, 14 points, 6/7 FG, 1/1 3PT, 1/2 FT, 2 rebounds, an assist, a steal, a team-high 2 block, 3 turnovers, and +1 in a 131-117 win over the Atlanta Hawks.
  • Keifer Sykes (Marshall/Indiana Pacers)- 10 minutes, 0/4 FG, 0/2 3PT, a rebound, 2 assist, and +2 in a 116-108 loss to the Charlotte Hornets.

  • Brodric Thomas (Bolingbrook/Boston Celtics)- 14 minutes, 4 points, 1/5 FG, 0/3 3PT, 2/2 FT, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and +16 in a 91-82 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
  • Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon/Los Angeles Lakers)- 19 minutes, 4 points, 2/7 FG, 0/2 3PT, an offensive rebound, 5 total rebounds, 2 assists, a block, turnover, and -7 in a 104-99 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
