MLB Lockout Update: Shift Ban, Robo Umps, and More

Major League Baseball should be well into their spring training and their games. But that is not the case after, Major League Basketball and it’s owners have locked out their players. Games are already being cancelled and they two sides are far from a full agreement after over 90 days of being in a lockout.

MLB Network baseball insider Jon Heyman shared the latest from the MLB owners and players union in his recent tweet here.

In the latest agreement by the players, here is what has been agreed upon by the players:

  • Ban shifts,
  • Implement a pitch clock,
  • And make bases larger in 2023.

The players union has also ejected the use of robo umps for the next seasons.
