Tuesday, four former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in various NBA games. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from March 8.

Best of the Day: Jevon Carter

Proviso East Jevon Carter just played his best game in a Milwaukee Bucks uniform. The 6-8 guard played his fourth most minutes (25:25) of the season and made four threes to help give the Bucks a boost off the bench in the team’s win.

  • Jevon Carter (Proviso East/Milwaukee Bucks)- 25 minutes, 12 points, 4/9 FG, 4/7 3PT, an offensive rebound, 3 total rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, a turnover, and +23 in 142-115 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Rest of the Day’s Performances

  • Isaiah Roby (Dixon/Oklahoma City Thunder)- 26 minutes, 12 points, 5/7 FG, 1/2 3PT, 1/1 FT, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, a block, and -13 in a 142-115 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

  • JaVale McGee (Hales Franciscan/Phoenix Suns)- 12 minutes, 5 points, 2/3 FG, 0/1 3PT, 1/2 FT, 2 rebound, 2 rebounds, a game-high 2 blocks (tied with Torrey Craig), a turnover, and a team-worst -9 in a 102-99 win over the Orlando Magic.

  • John Konchar (West Chicago/Memphis Grizzlies)- 20 minutes, 4 points, 2/5 FG, 0/2 3PT, an offensive rebound, 6 total rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, a block, 2 turnovers, and -6 in a 132-111 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
