Minor League is baseball is often consider a professional stepping stone to Major League Baseball. There is where young athlete develop and learn new skills to create a competitive edge for themselves and their teams. This could be from their fielding, to their hitting, and even their celebrations.
Thursday evening, Memphis Redbirds Delvin Pérez hit a deep fly ball to left field against Gwinnett Stripers pitcher Jacob Webb. Pérez thought it was a for sure home run and began to trot around the bases. Unfortunately, it was not a home run and the celebrations were premature.
On the bright side, the Redbird did defeat the Stripers 6-1 that evening.
