Cleveland Cavalier defeated Portland Trail Blazers, 133-129, in overtime. Max Strus (Stagg) started and played a season-high in minutes (36:23). He had 14 points (5-15 FG, 4-11 3PT) with eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, two turnovers, and a plus-minus of zero in 36 minutes. His 11 three point attempts were a team-high. Strus has scored all 14 points in the second half as he led the charge in the final two quarters. In the fourth quarter and overtime, he scored eight points with five rebounds (one offensive) and two assists. His eight rebounds are tied for his second most this season. Through 31 games, Strus has attempted just 13 free throw shots this season- he made 11 of those.
Indiana Pacers deftaed Chicago Bulls, 127-112. Matas Buzelis (Hinsdale Central) started while Jevon Carter (Proviso East) and Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon) came off the bench in the loss. Buzelis had 18 points (8-16 FG, 2-6 3PT) with six rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block, a turnover, and a game-worst -14 plus-minus in 30 minutes. Buzelis has scored in double digits in 12 of his last 14 games.
Carter had two points (1-3 Fg, 0-1 3PT) with a rebound, an assist. a steal, and a -10 plus-minus in 14 minutes. Carter is averaging a career-low 7.5 minutes per game this season.
Horton-Tucker had six points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3PT) with a rebound, a steal, two blocks, and a team-high +12 plus-minus. His two blocks were a game-high tied with Indiana’s Pascal Siakam. He has yet to start for the Bulls this season.

His field goals, field goal attempts, 3-point attempts were all game-highs. His two steals were a game-high tied with two others and his three turnovers were a game-worst tied with two others.
New Orleans Pelicans defeated Utah Jazz, 128-121. Antonio Reeves (Simeon) did not play in the win.
Boston Celtics defeated Denver Nuggets, 110-103. Drew Peterson (Libertyville) did not play in the win.

Osceola Magic defeated Windy-City Bulls, 132-101. Xavier Pinson (Simeon) came off the bench in the win for Osceola. He had four points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3PT, 2-2 FT) with three rebounds (two offensive), two assists, three turnovers, and a -6 plus-minus in 21 minutes. Ben Coupet Jr. (Simeon) started in the loss for Windy City.
